Welcome to Excelsior

We have great things happening here at Excelsior and appreciate your interest in enrolling with us. Here at Excelsior, student success is one of our primary concerns. Our goal is to provide the quality education, guidance, and support needed in order for our students to reach their educational goals. Enrollment with us will include information on how the school operates, policies, and other basics involved in maintaining a positive educational environment for the student.

Requirements:

The age and residential restrictions as set by the State of California are as follows: The student must be no older than 18 years of age and be able to graduate by the age of 19. The student must also reside within the county of San Bernardino or one of the following bordering counties: Inyo, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange or Riverside counties. The student must also have no previous expulsions.

 


 

Procedures:

To apply for enrollment, an application must be filled out and submitted along with several documents we need you to provide to us. These documents are listed on page 2 of the application. Applications are also available at our main office. Once you have obtained the required documents, you will need to call our main office to schedule an appointment to enroll.

Note: If the student is on an IEP or enrolled in a Special Education program, please contact Linda Goodman at ext.289 or Marie Silva at ext.254 in our Special Education Department prior to filling out the application.


Upon completion of enrollment, an appointment will be made with a facilitator to assign textbooks and courses to the student. The facilitator will also explain how the work is to be done as well as reported and submitted to us each week.In order to achieve the utmost success with our program, the student must be committed to achievement, self-motivated, self-controlled, have respect for the parental/guardian role as the primary teacher, and make sure their work is done with integrity and turned in every week by 8 a.m. Monday morning. The parent or guardian must be committed to their student’s education, overseeing the student’s studies, grading the work, attending every meeting with the facilitator or appointing a designee to go in their stead. Also, both must be committed to good communication between teacher and student, and within the education team of student, parent or guardian and facilitator.

 


 

Where is Excelsior Located?

Excelsior's enrollment office is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding holidays and breaks.We are located at 12217 Spring Valley Parkway, Victorville, CA

From Interstate 15, go east on Bear Valley Road approximately 4.5 miles. At Spring Valley Parkway, turn left, take the third driveway on the right (Francesca). From Apple Valley, go west on Bear Valley Road and turn right on Spring Valley Parkway, take the third driveway on the right (Francesca).

 


 

Finances:

Excelsior is a public charter school funded by the State of California. Excelsior does not charge tuition for attendance. Like other public schools, there may be fees for some courses.
