Dale Lee

Assistant Superintendent of Administrative services

Dale Lee brings over two decades of leadership across both the business and education sectors. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Teaching, Dale spent 15 years as a self-employed entrepreneur, specializing in e-commerce and business development, before transitioning into education.

In the public education space, Dale has served as a math teacher, curriculum coordinator, director of assessment and accountability, and most recently as Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services. In these roles, Dale led district-wide initiatives, including the rollout of a common digital curriculum and the successful implementation of a new student information system, driving innovation and systemic change.

In the current role as Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, Dale oversees district reporting, compliance, student data systems, staffing, and facilities and maintenance—bringing a strategic and solutions-oriented approach to operational excellence.

Shelly Slocomb

Data System Coordinator

Shelly Slocomb serves as the Data Systems Coordinator at Excelsior Charter Schools, bringing over a decade of experience in educational support and operations.  She began her career in the Educational Services Department where she contributed to student-facing support initiatives before transitioning into her current role within the Administrative Services Department managing complex data systems that support school operations and student achievement.

As Data Systems Coordinator, Shelly plays a key role in managing student information systems, support and ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and data integrity across the organization. Her cross-departmental experience allows her to bridge the gap between instructional goals and operational execution.

Shelly is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, expanding her technical expertise to better serve the evolving needs of the school system. Her passion lies in using data to streamline processes and enhance educational outcomes.

We are pleased to provide you excellent services in the areas of:

  • Coordinate stakeholder input and maintain the integrity of the curriculum to ensure alignment with California State Standards/Common Core Standards and outcomes

  • Develop and Implement formative and summative assessment tools to monitor student progress
  • Implementation and support for intervention programs across mathematics, reading and writing for identified students based on local and state assessments
  • Provide direct support to sites to facilitate effective implementation of curriculum, assessments, and instructional programs
  • Support the design and delivery of professional development that ensures fidelity of curriculum implementation across all sites
  • Refine instructional programs to include resources that meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with disabilities, those who are highly able, English language learners, and students who are at risk of underachievement because of poverty
  • Maintain formal links with all central offices and departments to ensure consistent delivery of curriculum and instructional materials
  • Facilitate communication with employee organizations, parents, community groups, and institutions of higher education regarding curriculum, instruction, and assessment
